Bungee jumping in Queenstown was one of the best most exhilarating things I have ever done. The Kawarau Bungy Center is 20 minutes from Queenstown and it has the first Commercial Bungy Jump and the Kawarau Zipride. Queenstown by itself was amazing but this just made all the much better. They let you choose if you would like to dunk in the water or not. My hands touched the water but I did not want to dunk because someone that had gone previously, told me that it is not a good feeling having water shoot up your nose at a very rapid pace, but its up to you. Either way it is amazing. This bridge is 43m up and compared to the Nevis Bungy is a piece of cake. The hard part however is getting yourself to jump off the ledge, because as much as you might want to it’s not easy to do the first time around. They do a great job in keeping you calm while they are strapping you up, they keep talking to you so you dont freak out and over think the fact that you are about to jump off a bridge. But once you're off, there is nothing in the world that compares to that feeling, almost as if you are flying. When I go back to Queenstown my goal is to conquer the Nevis Bungy, which is 143m up above the valley floor. For a first timer the Kawarau Bungy is a great jump and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. We went to Queenstown for four days and it was just not enough. Queenstown is known as the touristy party of New Zealand, but don’t let that drive you away because it is the most amazing town I have ever been too. While we were there we did the Shotover Jet ride, Luging, Bungy, took a boat along the lake (which was stunning), went biking along the water, got Fergburger and so much more! We went for a short amount of time because our family all lives in Wellington, but this town is packed full of things to do and you will never get bored. Can’t wait to go back!! -Queenstown, New Zealand.
